Junior swingman Justin Black scored 20 points, leading Morgan State back from a big second-half deficit to defeat host High Point 75-68 in a BracketBusters game Saturday at Millis Center. Three other players scored in double figures for Morgan State (10-14, 6-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Sophomore guard Blake Bozeman had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman forward John Brown scored a game-high 24 points for High Point (16-11, 11-3 Big South Conference). Senior forward Allan Chaney had 16 points and nine rebounds. High Point led 34-29 at the break. The Panthers went up by 14 when Chaney scored with 9:43 to go in the second half, but Morgan State fought back. Black scored seven consecutive points over a span of 1:14, sparking a 10-2 run that cut High Point's lead to six with 6:59 to play. The Bears then staged a 10-2 run to tie the game at 63-63 with 4:11 to go. The Panthers briefly reclaimed the lead, but the Bears scored 12 of the next 14 points to take command in the final minutes.
