AP - Sports

VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) Terrance Hill scored 21 points as Morehead State used a second-half surge to pull away from winless Binghamton in a 64-45 victory Monday night.

The Eagles (5-7), who snapped a two-game skid, shot 52.4 percent in the second half (11 of 21) while the Bearcats made only 6 of 21 field goals (28.6 percent) after halftime.

Binghamton (0-9) led 6-3 early, then Morehead State went on a 7-0 run, capped by a Hill three-point play, en route to a 12-point cushion.

After the Bearcats trimmed the lead to 33-30 with 18:24 to play, Hill and Marsell Holden hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 10-0 run. Lamont Austin followed with a jumper and a Kahlil Owens made a layup to push the Eagles' lead into double digits for good.

Holden added 10 points for Morehead State.

Ben Dickinson scored 12 points to lead Binghamton and Robert Mansell added 11.
