Inter president Massimo Moratti has played down the severity of a police raid on Inter's headquarters as part of an investigation into money laundering and tax evasion.
The Nerazzurri were just one of 18 Serie A clubs, and 41 in total in Italy, to have their offices raided by the Guarda di Finanza on Tuesday.
Documents pertaining to contracts between players, agents and clubs were seized from a number of top-flight clubs - including Inter - but Moratti insists the media has exaggerated the incident.
“It was not a raid, but an acquisition of documents," he told Sky Sport Italia. “I am very calm about it. We will try to understand better [what the police are looking for].”
The Guarda di Finanza also confirmed that 12 player agents are under investigation, as well as a number of foreign sides, over possible involvement in criminal conspiracy, international tax evasion, invoicing falsification and money laundering. Follow GOAL.COM on Twitter
