    Montana beats North Dakota 78-58

    MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Will Cherry scored 16 points, Kareem Jamar added 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists, and Montana beat North Dakota 78-58 on Saturday night for a Big Sky-record 25th straight conference win.

    Eric Hutchison had 12 points and Spencer Coleman 11 for the Grizzlies (18-4, 14-0 Big Sky), who surpassed the 24 league victories in a row by Weber State from the 1967-68 to 1969-70 seasons.

    Montana won its 15th straight overall, the second-longest current streak in the nation, one behind Akron.

    Troy Huff scored 23 points and Jamal Webb added 14 for North Dakota (10-13, 7-7).

    The Grizzlies took control in the first half. North Dakota shot 9 of 23 (39.1 percent) from the floor and committed 15 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes, helping Montana to a 40-21 lead at the break.
