Other top performers for Portland were Nicolas Batum with 14 points and 18 rebounds, Damian Lillard with 12 points and 6 assists, and LaMarcus Aldridge with 10 points and 6 rebounds. On 7-14 shooting, including 1-5 from behind the arc, Cartier Martin put up 16 points off the bench for Atlanta in the loss.
The Hawks posted an eFG% of just 35.2%, including 14.8% from 3-point range. This year, they are 3-5 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Trail Blazers are undefeated (7-0) when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Atlanta (26-33) has now lost four straight contests.
