  • The Timbers have never beaten the Dynamo in MLS, posting two losses and a draw.

  • Portland came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with the Colorado Rapids last week. Will Johnson scored twice of the first time in his career. The Timbers have now drawn three of four games under Caleb Porter.

  • Johnson's second goal came from a penalty, which marked Portland's first spot kick since Oct. 22, 2011. The span between the two Timbers penalties, 37 games, is fifth-longest in MLS history.

  • With a 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes last weeks extended the Dynamo's unbeaten run in Houston to 34 matches, tying an MLS record set by Real Salt Lake.

  • Houston reached and lost the last two MLS Cup finals.
