  DID YOU KNOW?
  • These teams met once last year, Philadelphia edging a 1-0 encounter away in a match that saw then-manager Peter Nowak suspended for entering the field of play.
  • This will be the first game for these teams after the opening of the international transfer window. The Union will have goalkeeper Oka Nikolov and left back Fabinho available for selection. Chivas USA welcomes Chivas Guadelajara loanee Erick Torres and former U.S. national team captain Carlos Bocanegra.

  • Both of these sides are in need of a win. Philadelphia has slipped from second to fourth in the East thanks to a three-game winless slide, and Chivas USA hasn't tasted victory since March, a disastrous run of 13 matches without taking maximum points.

  • Chivas midfielder Gabriel Farfan will face his former MLS club if he takes the field against the Union. His twin brother, Michael, is still a member of the Union squad.
  • Two Union players, Brian Carroll and Conor Casey, will receive suspensions for yellow card accumulation if they are booked.
