  • Kansas City won the only meeting between these teams last year, 1-0 in Sporting Park. Sporting KC hasn't lost in LA against the Galaxy since 2007.

  • Sporting hasn't conceded in five games, giving up just six shots on target over that spell, half of which came during a 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday.

  • Los Angeles was the last unbeaten team in the league until last week when it dropped a 1-0 decision in Dallas.

  • Landon Donovan made his first MLS start of the season against Dallas and had a penalty kick saved. Donovan has scored 28 of his 32 MLS penalties throughout his career.

  • Leonardo is suspended for this game.
