MLS Preview: FC Dallas - Toronto FC

It's the league's best offense against one that has yet to get off the ground despite spending tons of money in the offseason.

FC Dallas hosts Toronto FC on Saturday evening, with the Texans playing some of the most exciting soccer in the league thus far. Dallas has scored 15 times in the first six games of the season, compared to TFC's meager five goals in five matches.

In Toronto's defense, the Canadian side has been without the services of star striker Jermain Defoe for the past two games, and the English international is set to also miss this match with a hamstring strain. Add in Bright Dike's long-term Achilles injury, Dwayne De Rosario's drop in form, and Brazilian striker Gilberto's adjustment issues, and it has led to a sputtering Toronto attack in the early going.

TFC will also be missing Alvaro Rey, Jeremy Hall and Doneil Henry, but the team should be boosted by the return of central midfield duo Michael Bradley and Jonathan Osorio. The pair looked dominant in TFC's first two matches, and their ability to play a part in Dallas should be a big help for the Reds.

As for the home side, Dallas will be looking to get back into the win column after a 3-2 loss to Seattle last week. The Sounders grabbed two late goals to snatch the victory away from FCD, which surely left a sour taste in the mouths of the 17,070 in attendance in Frisco, TX.

The Texans' high-powered attack has also left some holes open for opponents to exploit, with FCD having given up nine goals so far. It's something that head coach Oscar Pareja will have identified as an issue to work on going forward, especially given the team's spectacluar drop in the second half of last season.

There might be no better opportunity for Pareja to experiment defensively, given TFC's struggles (and absences) in the offensive end.
