Colorado Rapids (4-2-3-1): Seitz; Loyd, John, Hedges, Michel; Jacobson, Warshaw; Jackson, Ferreira, Castillo; Cooper



  • This game will be a rematch of the 2010 MLS Cup final. Colorado won that game 2-1 after a George John own goal in extra time.

  • Neither of these teams made the playoffs last season, just two years after meeting in that final. Dallas finished sixth and Colorado ended seventh in the Western Conference.

  • Dallas had the edge between these teams last season, notching 2-1 and 3-2 victories after Colorado won the first meeting 2-0.

  • Colorado head coach Oscar Pareja played seven seasons with FC Dallas, and served on the coaching staff for another another six.

  • FC Dallas brought back club legend Kenny Cooper in the offseason, trading allocation money to prise him from New York. Cooper scored 40 goals in 90 games for the Hoops between 2006 and 2009.
