The New England Revolution will be looking for a measure of revenge but more importantly a positive result when the Houston Dynamo visit Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
The Revs dropped a 4-0 decision to the Dynamo in their season-opening match March 8, and the rest of the early season hasn't gone much better for a New England side that came into the year with high expectations.
Jay Heaps' side has managed just one win in five matches, and perhaps even more disturbing is the team's putrid offensive production, which has yielded just one goal (a second came courtesy of an own goal). The absence of injured playmaker Kelyn Rowe has made things difficult for New England, and with Rowe expected to miss another match with the same hamstring injury, the Revs will need Diego Fagundez and Lee Nguyen to pick up the playmaking slack.
The Dynamo come in on a two-match losing skid, with the most recent setback a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of FC Dallas. Center back David Horst was sent off in that match, meaning rookie A.J. Cochran could make his first professional start against the Revs.
Houston will look to get striker Will Bruin going after two straight matches without a goal. Bruin punished New England for two goals and an assist in their earlier meeting this season.
