  • Portland is third in the West, with 30 points from 17 games.

  • The Timbers are on an incredible 18-match unbeaten run. They have lost just once under coach Caleb Porter.
  • Columbus is in seventh in the East, its 21 points from 18 matches putting it just two points back of Houston and the final playoff berth.
  • Prior to Thursday's game against the LA Galaxy, the Crew were the only team in MLS with a goal difference of zero. They had scored 21 goals and allowed 21 goals, until Los Angeles won 2-1.
  • Portland's defensive record of 16 allowed is the best int he West and the second-best in MLS.
