MLB roundup: Baseball investigates players tied to clinic

The SportsXchange

Major League Baseball is investigating any players linked to South Florida clinic Biogenesis, including Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun and New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez.

ESPN's T.J. Quinn reported Saturday that the league is looking into players with ties to the clinic on the heels of minor league player Cesar Carrillo's 100-game suspension.

Braun and Rodriguez are prominently linked to the clinic run by Dr. Dr. Anthony Bosch. Bosch is the son of Dr. Pedro Bosch, whom MLB investigated in 2009 for his PED ties to Manny Ramirez when he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

---Outfielder Brennan Boesch signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the New York Yankees, CBS Sports reported Saturday.

The deal comes two days after Boesch was let go by the Detroit Tigers. Boesch, 27, batted .240 with 12 home runs in 503 plate appearances last year.
