Miss Well Molded wins Santa Anita feature

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) -- Miss Well Molded won the $58,000 Mars Purse for older California-bred fillies and mares by three-quarters of a length at Santa Anita on Thursday.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Miss Well Molded ran a mile on the turf in 1:34.47 and paid $4.60, $3 and $2.40 as the 6-5 favorite.

Mangita returned $3.80 and $3, while Tanquerray was another half-length back in third and paid $3 to show.

Claimed for $25,000 after the race by trainer Peter Miller, Miss Well Molded won $34,800, increasing her career earnings to $215,206. She has five wins from 17 starts.
