NEW YORK (AP) -- Miss Narcissist stretched her winning streak to three in the $150,000 Fifth Avenue, one of four New York Stallion Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday.
Junior Alvarado was aboard the even-money favorite for trainer Linda Rice in the race for 2-year-old fillies. Miss Narcissist beat Hey Kiddo by a head, paying $4.10 to win. The time was 1:11.60 for the six furlongs.
Empire Dreams, the 4-5 choice, took the other 2-year-old division, the $150,000 Great White Way. Irad Ortiz, Jr. guided the colt trained by Tom Albertrani to a 1 3/4-length victory over Sol the Freud. Empire Dreams paid $3.70 to win. The time was 1:11.16.
In the $125,000 older horse divisions, Commandante beat West Hills Giant by 1 1/2 lengths in the Thunder Rumble. The 3-year-old gelding trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Javier Castellano got his third victory in 13 starts. He paid $9.30 to win. The time was 1:22.66 for the seven furlongs.
Vicki's Dancer won the Staten Island for fillies and mares. The 4-year-old trained by Rudy Rodriguez with Eddie Castro aboard earned her fifth victory in 17 starts. She paid $10.80 to win; the time was 1:24.71.
