As much as it pains me to say it, the best way to describe how the Cleveland Indians have been playing would be disappointing, and that would still be an understatement.
The Indians have been outscored 88-31 during their current 10-game losing streak and it looks as if there is no end in sight. On Tuesday, August 7 they will face off against rookie right-hander Samuel Deduno who is gunning for his fourth win in as many starts. The Tribe will send Corey Kluber to the mound who was hammered in his season debut and currently posts an ERA of 12.46.
Needless to say it has been a difficult time for Cleveland fans. Never did we expect to witness a complete meltdown of this magnitude when it appeared the team was playing so well just a few weeks earlier. Fan morale is certainly down, and it is hard to tell what it will take to get it back.
The Cleveland Indians will take on the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field located in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 7:05 p.m. EDT.
Corey Kluber (0-0, 12.46 ERA) will take the mound for the Indians facing off against the Twins' Samuel Deduno (3-0, 2.48 ERA).
Cleveland enters the game with a 50-59 record and in third place in the American League Central. They are 27-26 when playing at home and have won none of their last 10 games.
Minnesota comes into the matchup with a 48-61 record and in fourth place in the American League Central. They are 25-29 when playing on the road and have won seven of their last 10 games.
The season series is currently stands at 6-3 in favor of the Twins.
