Recommendation: There were some other players available to the Pacers at 26th overall that they didn't expect to be available, but they stuck with Plumlee, who they see as a Jeff Foster clone. "He's the best dirty-work player in the draft. He's a blue-collar guy who falls right into our team's identity, which we rebuilt around defensive rebounding, and this kid's specialty is defensive rebounding," said Indiana coach Frank Vogel. Assuming Roy Hibbert, a restricted free agent come Sunday, is re-signed, it looks like Plumlee will have a 15-minute per night role for Indiana.
Update: The Pacers feel Plumlee will be part of the team's rotation right away next season, the Indianapolis Star reports.
