Mikael Granlund: Right Ankle Sprain
Update: Granlund has a lateral right ankle sprain and will miss two to four weeks, according to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Recommendation: This is a little more severe than the suggested tentative strained right leg muscle before a more complete diagnosis was done, but it doesn't affect Granlund's return timetable too badly and he looks to have avoided the dreaded high ankle sprain. The problem is, he was going to be in the running for a roster spot with the Wild for the first time, but if the lockout now gets solved within the next week or two that could push his return to game action to the AHL, at least in the short term.
