Michigan State's Payne, Baylor's Austin back to school

Versatile forward Adreian Payne is returning to Michigan State for his senior season.

Payne, a 6-foot-10 forward who averaged 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds as a junior, is considered athetlic enough for the NBA but returning to school gives him another year to advance his raw skills.

Sunday at midnight ET was the deadline to declare for the NBA draft.

Baylor's Isaiah Austin, a 7-foot-1 center, also decided the NBA could wait.

He averaged 13. points and 8.3 rebounds as a freshman last season, showing the range to shoot from 3-point range and size and touch around the basket to became a terror at the college level.
