Miami safety Armstrong dismissed

Safety Ray-Ray Armstrong was dismissed from the Miami (Fla.) football team.

He was reportedly suspended for interaction with a booster, which he subsequently discussed via Twitter.

Armstrong, the No. 4-ranked prospect at his position according to NFLDraftScout.com, was a second-team All-ACC selection last season.

He was named to the Bednarik Award watch list on July 10.

Rumors circulated on July 2 that Armstrong and Seantrel Henderson were dismissed from the team, but UM associate athletic director for communications Chris Freet denied the reports.
