Here's a closer look at the stadium:
Stadium Name: MetLife Stadium
Location: 1 MetLife Stadium Drive East Rutherford, NJ 07073
Maximum Capacity: 82,566
Year Opened: 2010
Best Food Options: Brooklyn Burger (Plaza Level 135, 106, 131, 201, 226, 313, 322 and 338), Nathan's Famous (Section 306), Nonna Fusco's Meatballs (West Hall Plaza, Sec. 118, 146, 202, 224, 321, and 347)
Best Beer Stands: Redbridge Beer (Sec. 121, 146, 306, 330), Beers of the World (West Hall Plaza, Sec. 106, 306, 321, 331, 346)
Unique Features: Twenty giant LED plyons line the north and east entrances.
What's Allowed Inside: Food contained in a clear plastic bag and factory sealed, plastic water bottles or soft drinks that are less than 20 oz. in size.
What's Not Allowed Inside: Alcohol, bottles, cans, hard-sided coolers, ice chests, weapons, banners, flags, signs, footballs, animals, cameras or videos with a lens longer than 6".
Best Seats: If money is no object, MetLife Stadium features the best front row 50-yard line seats in the NFL, as they are closer to the action than anywhere else.
These seats are less than 50 feet away from the sidelines. If you're on a tight budget, I would go with an upper middle section like 313 or 314, as those tickets typically sell for less than $100.
Parking: MetLife Stadium has over 27,000 parking spots available for NFL gamedays. For general parking, the best places to park are lots L and B. See here for a Jets gameday parking map. Parking fees are $25-$35, depending on the lot.
Public Transportation: You can get to MetLife Stadium by NJ Transit Rail, Metro-North, Coach USA Bus Service or park and ride train service. It's quite convenient to take public transportation to this venue, as you can get off at the MetLife Sports Complex station, located walking distance from the stadium.
First-Person Tips: I highly recommend taking public transportation to MetLife Stadium, as car traffic gets very intense around the stadium on NFL gamedays. Once you're inside, I would get right on line at Nonna Fusco's Meatball Stand, as it's the best food in the stadium and the lines get long here in a hurry.
