    Mercer tops Alabama A&M 65-46 behind Coursey's 14

    MACON, Ga. (AP) -- Daniel Coursey scored 14 points, the only Mercer player in double figures, to lead the Bears to an easy 65-46 victory over Alabama A&M Saturday night.

    While Alabama A&M had three players in double figures, Mercer (5-5) had far more balanced scoring. In addition to Coursey, 10 teammates combined for 51 points. Alabama A&M, meanwhile, was essentially a three-man show.

    Jeremy Crutcher led the Bulldogs (2-5) with 14 points. Brandon Ellis added 10 and Demarquelle Tabb had a 12-point, 14-rebound double-double. But the remaining Bulldogs contributed only 10 points.

    Alabama A&M was 3 for 18 from beyond the 3-point arc. Crutcher was 1 for 6 and Ellis 0 for 4. The Bulldogs shot 17 for 48 overall. Mercer made 22 of 52 shots, including 4 of 14 treys.

    The Bears, who had a 38-30 rebounding advantage, went 17 for 20 at the foul line. The Bulldogs were 9 for 16.
