McKinnie absent from Ravens camp

Baltimore Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie was absent from Thursday's training camp work with what Coach John Harbaugh termed an "issue."

"Well, he contacted us through a representative," Harbaugh said via the Carroll County Times. "He's dealing with an issue right now. I don't really want to speak for him on that. He can speak for himself on that."

McKinnie was paid a $500,000 roster bonus in March and pledged to show up to camp in better shape. McKinnie, released by the Minnesota Vikings last year for being out of shape and overweight, missed the Ravens' mini-camp work due to conditioning issues and said his weight was around 350 pounds.

He also has been dealing with a lawsuit regarding a loan he took out last year during the lockout. In his absence, Michael Oher shifted from right tackle to left tackle in practice with the first-team unit.
