Tyler Zeller, the North Carolina center taken by the Dallas Mavericks with the No. 17 pick of the firsy round, has been traded along with Kelenna Azubuike i to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for the Nos. 24, 33 and 34 overall picks in Thursday's draft, ESPN reported.
The 7-foot Zeller played all four years of college ball, and averaged 16.3 points and 9.6 rebounds as a senior. He was the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year.
Picking for Dallas at No. 24, Cleveland drafted Jared Cunningham, a shooting guard out of Oregon State. Florida State center Bernard James went at No. 33, and Marquette's Jae Crowder went 34th, and they will go to Dallas, too.
