Mathieu to attend NFL combine

Former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu announced through Twitter on Friday that he will participate in the NFL scouting combine in February.

"God is good! He answer prayers! I'll be attending this years @nfl COMBINE!" Mathieu wrote.

The event is Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.

Mathieu, the 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist, is trying to repair his image after getting booted from the LSU team last August for failing a drug test. He was also arrested in October with three former LSU players after police said they found marijuana in Mathieu's apartment.

Mathieu has been preparing for the combine in south Florida.
