Maryland picked up some help on offense via a graduate transfer.

The program announced Tuesday that it has added Teldrick Morgan, a wide receiver from New Mexico State. Morgan is a Hanover, Maryland, native and will be eligible to play in 2016 for the Terps. He has one season remaining.

The 6-foot, 195-pound Morgan led the Aggies in receiving the past two seasons. He caught 75 passes for 903 yards and seven touchdowns in 2014. Despite missing three games due to injury, Morgan registered 45 catches for 551 yards and four scores in 2015. He also averaged 21.6 yards per kick return and 12.4 yards per punt return during his time at NMSU.

“Teldrick brings a great deal to our program and we’re excited that he’s a part of our family,” said first-year head coach D.J. Durkin. “It’s always great to bring a local kid back home, and on top of that he’s very skilled and brings a wealth of experience to our receivers unit.”

Morgan announced the news of his transfer earlier in the day on Twitter.

Maryland returns most of its receiving production from last year, so Morgan will join a fairly experienced group. Levern Jacobs (35 catches, 425 yards, 3 TDs) and D.J. Moore (25 catches, 357 yards, 3 TDs) are expected to start. Taivon Jacobs, Malcolm Culmer, Jahrvis Davenport and DeAndre Lane are also still in the fold.
