Marlins-Mets postponed due to rain
Friday's series opener between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets at Citi Field was postponed because of rain.
The game is as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sept. 14 at 4:10 p.m. ET.
The Mets have been rained out two straight days. They were also rained out Thursday at the Washington Nationals.
Friday's scheduled matchup of pitching phenoms Matt Harvey (5-0, 217 ERA) of the Mets and the Marlins' Jose Fernandez (3-3, 3.34) was rescheduled for Saturday.
Scheduled Saturday's starters, Shaun Marcum (0-6, 5.71) of the Mets and the Marlins' Kevin Slowey (1-5, 4.16), were skipped.
On Sunday, New York's Jonathon Niese (3-5, 4.40) is scheduled to match up against Miami's Tom Koehler (0-4, 3.70).
