The Miami Marlins activated outfielder Giancarlo Stanton from the disabled list and manager Ozzie Guillen inserted him into the starting lineup Tuesday against the Mets. Stanton has been out since July 8, the day before he was to participate in the All-Star Home Run Derby but instead had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. In 80 games, Stanton is hitting .284 with a team-high 19 home runs and 50 RBIs. Guillen said he plans to use Jose Reyes, who entered Tuesday's game with a 24-game hitting streak, in the No. 3 spot in the lineup followed by Carlos Lee and Stanton. Infielder Donnie Murphy (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Saturday.
