Markieff Morris came off the bench and put up his sixth double-double this season, scoring 27 points and registering 15 rebounds, to help the Phoenix Suns defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-90. Phoenix (25-18) picked up the win after falling to the Washington Wizards on Friday.
Morris shot 8-16 and converted 10-12 from the free throw line. Phoenix also got solid performances from Channing Frye with 16 points and 5 rebounds, Goran Dragic with 15 points and 7 assists, and P.J. Tucker with 13 points and 10 rebounds. On 8-23 shooting, Kyrie Irving scored 24 points for Cleveland in the loss. He also registered 9 assists. Luol Deng added 18 points and 10 rebounds and Tristan Thompson finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Cleveland (16-28) couldn't get consecutive victories after beating Milwaukee on Friday.
