There is reason to be concerned about the future of New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram.
While he underwent minor arthroscopic knee surgery, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, it’s the thirs surgery he has had since August 2010 when he was in school. It’s the second arthroscopic knee surgery he’s undergone. Ingram had foot surgery last year near the end of his rookie season.
Per the report, Ingram will be back in the mix in six weeks, which means he’ll be out for most if not all of the remaining offseason program, including minicamp. The Saints made a trade into the first round to select Ingram in 2011 when they appeared to have depth at the position, starting with Pierre Thomas. Ingram needs to give them some return on their investment this season.
