Mark Hunt Unloads on Brock Lesnar and UFC in Expletive Laden Interview

Heavyweight Mark Hunt had some choice words for his most recent opponent, Brock Lesnar, and his current employer, the UFC, on Monday. His fiery words did elicit a response from his employer, which he was upset about not having happened already.

Lesnar defeated Hunt at UFC 200, but was found to have tested positive on a June 28 out-of-competition drug test and his UFC 200 fight night drug test conducted on July 9. The results of both test were not received by the United States Anti-Doping Agency until a few days after the event.

Hunt, of course, was upset after finding out Lesnar had tested positive, although he suspected the WWE Superstar was using prohibited substances prior to stepping into the Octagon with him.

“Before the fight I was assuming he was cheating,” Hunt said on The MMA Hour on Monday. “Look at him. There's no way that guy makes 265 pounds. That guy is a gimp, he's sticking needles in his ass like the rest of these cheaters. These guys are cheating and they should be in court for it. (They should) lose all of their money if they're cheating, because if I die in there, who's going to look after my family?”

Hunt has called for the UFC to hand over Lesnar's $2.5 million payday to him for having risked his health against some he believes is a cheater. Having not heard from anyone at the UFC in the immediate aftermath of the positive results coming to light, Hunt didn't stop with his comments about Lesnar, he took dead aim at the UFC, as well.

“The best outcome is if the company that I work for says, ‘you've been cheating, you lose all of your (fight purse), and since it was cheating, you get fined,” said Hunt. But that reportedly isn't going to happen.

Lesnar faces possible fines and suspensions from the Nevada Athletic Commission and USADA, but the UFC itself isn't expected to fine him separately.

This is the third opponent Hunt has faced that has tested positive, and he's tired of it. He thinks the UFC should be doing more, and he wasn't at all afraid to say so.

“What upsets me about that is, I'm just thinking maybe they knew,” Hunt said. “Did they know about this? Is that why they're not doing anything about it? Did they give this (expletive) fool an exemption for four months because they knew about this? Because, surely if they knew about this, they don't give a rat's about any of us.

“I'll go and work somewhere else. Like I said, I don't give a (expletive),” he continued. “If we've got to sue their asses, well then (expletive) you, you're going to get sued. You scummy (expletive). The problem is everyone these days, ‘man, I want to get into the UFC.' (Expletive) the UFC. You (expletive) don't look after nobody.”

Following his interview on The MMA Hour, Hunt reportedly spoke with Jeff Novitsky, UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance, to address Hunt's concerns and explain how the adjudication process unfolds when a fighter violates the UFC Anti-Doping Policy. UFC officials confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that such a conversation between Hunt and Novitsky took place on Monday, but did not reveal details of the conversation.

During the interview with The MMA Hour, Hunt continued his push for a fighter association, which is something he started in an interview on his website, MarkHunt.tv. It's an idea that has been bandied about for years, but has never gained much steam, and it's not clear yet whether or not Hunt's campaign for the fighters to organize has much momentum, as of yet.
