A radio interview with Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio came to an awkward end Wednesday morning. And if Dantonio hung up on the radio show’s co-hosts, we can see why.

Dantonio was on “Fox Sports Daybreak” and the first question was if Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh had gotten into his head.

He was then asked about Connor Cook and the ex-MSU quarterback not being a captain during 2015. The third question was about eating pasta with Tom Izzo.

Somewhat ironically, the fourth question from co-hosts Mike North and Andy Furman was about a possible lack of respect for Michigan State’s success. You can listen to the full interview above, but Dantonio noted in his response that “you guys are the guys talking out there and you ask questions that sometimes don’t really make a lot of sense.”

As North talked following Dantonio’s response, there was a clicking sound on the line and the coach was no longer on phone. A team spokesperson told The Detroit News (where you can also read a full transcript if you don’t want to listen to the interview) “there was a short window available for the interview and Dantonio needed to address the Spartans before they began conditioning tests.”

If that’s true, we’re still going to guess Dantonio won’t be appearing on that show again anytime soon.
