Update: Rivera (knee) faced hitters Friday for the first time since tearing his ACL last spring.
Recommendation: Rivera threw just 20 pitches Friday, but no setbacks were reported following the session. Rivera figures he will need a few more side sessions before seeing action in a spring game, but it appears he is well on his way to being available Opening Day.
