Goaltender Ben Scrivens signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, and The Toronto Globe and Mail reports the deal calls for Scrivens to make $600,000 in the first year and $625,000 in the second. Scrivens played 12 games for the Maple Leafs last year and had a 3.13 goals-against average. He said he would like to compete for a starting job but is likely to be a backup to James Reimer at the start of the season.
