Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Manti Te'o runs better at pro day

National Football Post

Manti Te’o pledged to run better at his pro day and he accomplished that.

The Notre Dame linebacker, criticized for running a 40-yard dash in 4.82 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last month, improved on his time today at the Irish pro day in South Bend, Ind. One veteran scout present for the workout told the National Football Post that Te’o ran 4.74 or 4.75, so slightly better than he did at Lucas Oil Stadium.

I felt good. I'm at home now," Te'o said, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune. "I was very pleased with how I performed.

“I just expected me to run faster than I did at the combine," Te'o said. "That's exactly what I did."

Te’o will remain one of the most scrutinized players in the 2013 draft class with a month to go until the event. We’ll see if he was impressive enough to be a late first-round pick.
