Win some, lose some.
Peyton Manning was chosen as the Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year for 2012 after missing all of the 2011 season with a neck injury.
Manning, however, missed out on the big prize as Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson was selected as the MVP following his 2,000-yard season, just a year after tearing his ACL late in the 2011 season.
Manning had a standout season following his release by the Indianapolis Colts and then signing as a free agent with the Denver Broncos. Manning led Denver to a 13-3 record and completed 68.4 percent of his passes with 37 touchdown passes and just 11 interceptions.
