On Thursday night, Broncos QB Peyton Manning joined Brett Favre as the only quarterbacks in NFL history with 5,000 completions. Manning reached the milestone in 239 games. Favre took 221 contests to reach the mark.
Manning completed 16-of-22 passes for 201 yards, a touchdown and an interception in staking the Broncos to a 13-7 halftime lead over the Raiders.
One negative note for the Broncos was the apparent shoulder injury suffered by starting WR Demaryius Thomas in the first half. Thomas, who had two catches for 31 yards before departing, left the field under his own power and went to the locker room for further examination. He was back on the field at the start of the second half, however.
