LSU RB Hill suspended indefinitely

LSU suspended running back Jeremy Hill indefinitely Monday stemming from his arrest for simple battery over the weekend.

University spokesman Michael Bonnette wrote on Twitter that coach Les Miles will "let the incident play out through the legal system before making any additional comments."

Hill, 20, was arrested Saturday morning after a fight outside a bar in Baton Rouge, La.

If Hill is convicted of the misdemeanor, it would violate his probation. He pled guilty to carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2011.

Hill led the Tigers with 755 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last year as a freshman.

Former LSU running backs Spencer Ware and Michael Ford had left the school early for the NFL draft to escape a crowded backfield. Ware was taken in the sixth round by the Seattle Seahawks and Ford was not drafted.
