Loyola-Marymount rallies past San Francisco 90-88

LOS ANGELES (AP) Drew Viney scored 20 points, including the go-ahead basket with 54 seconds left, as Loyola-Marymount rallied from a 16-point deficit in the final eight minutes to defeat San Francisco 90-88 Saturday night.

Viney's layup gave the Lions (15-9, 8-3 West Coast) their first lead, 89-88, since early in the first half, and LaRon Armstead added a free throw with 29 seconds remaining.

San Francisco (15-10, 5-6) had its chances to retake the lead but missed three shots in the final minute and had two turnovers in the final 6 seconds.

Jarred DuBois added 17 points, Anthony Ireland 15 and Ashley Hamilton 13 for Loyola-Marymount, which has won seven of its last nine games.

The Dons got 24 points from Rashad Green, 17 from Angelo Caloiaro and 16 from Michael Williams.

The last four games between the two teams have been decided by a total of six points.
