Looks and Touches: Week 15
The following is a list of the Week 15 leaders in looks and touches. It defines those running backs and receivers who received the most attention this past weekend.
Touches is defined as the number of times a running back carried or caught the football.
Looks is defined as the number of times a player was the intended target of a pass.
TOUCHES
• RB among the leaders in touches per game over the past three weeks with less-than-universal (100 percent) ownership in Yahoo! leagues: Ryan Grant (22 – 14th), Adrian Peterson CHI (21.3 – 16th), Aaron Stecker (20.7 – 17th), Fred Taylor (19.7 – 19th), Kolby Smith (19.3 – 20th), Darius Walker (18 – 23rd), DeShaun Foster (18 – 23rd), Fred Jackson (15.3 – 27th), Rudi Johnson (15.3 – 27th), and Ron Dayne (14 – 29th).
• The platoon watch notes when a team's RB2 is given at least half as many touches as the RB1, regardless of the reason. • LaDainian Tomlinson made the most of his abbreviated workload in Week 15, leading all RB with at least 10 touches in yards per touch. He totaled 123 yards of offense (116 rushing, seven receiving) on 17 touches (15 carries, two catches), good for a 7.24-yard average. Travis Henry came in on the opposite end of the leaderboard – he managed only 27 yards on his 10 carries (no catches), a 2.7-yard average.

• Widely-available RB among the league leaders in looks per game over the past three weeks: Lorenzo Booker (7.7 – third), Adrian Peterson CHI (6.3 – sixth), Aaron Stecker (4.7 – 10th), Fred Jackson (4.3 – 12th), Leon Washington (4.3 – 12th), Kenny Watson (4.3 – 12th), Leonard Weaver (4.3 – 12th), Darius Walker (4 – 16th), Ladell Betts (3.7 – 17th), Kevin Faulk (3.3 – 20th), and Maurice Morris (3.3 – 20th).
• Widely-available WR among the league leaders in looks per game over the past three weeks: Shaun McDonald (10.7 – sixth), Marty Booker (10.5 – eighth), Jerricho Cotchery (9 – 12th), Darrell Jackson (8.3 – 19th), Michael Jenkins (8 – 23rd), Jerry Porter (8 – 23rd), Isaac Bruce (7.7 – 28th), Mike Furrey (7.3 – 32nd), Ted Ginn Jr. (7.3 – 32nd), and Derek Hagan (7.3 – 32nd).
• Widely-available TE among the league leaders in looks per game over the past three weeks: Alge Crumpler (6.7 – fifth), Vernon Davis (6 – eighth), Chris Baker (5.7 – 10th), Owen Daniels (5 – 12th), Tony Scheffler (5 – 12th), Greg Olsen (4.7 – 14th), and Leonard Pope (4.5 – 15th).
