Lohse to miss next start
The Milwaukee Brewers scratched right-hander Kyle Lohse from his next scheduled start on Saturday because of an elbow irritation.
The 34-year-old Lohse gave up four runs and eight hits in six innings of a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday and has a 1-5 record with a 3.76 ERA in nine starts this season.
Mike Fiers will take Lohse's next turn in the rotation on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to MLB.com.
Lohse signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Brewers during spring training.
