Jake Locker's injured left shoulder has kept him out of the lineup for the beleaguered Tennessee Titans since week four.
But Locker is getting closer to having the broken bone in his shoulder mend, and an MRI today could determine how soon the quarterback will be cleared for contact, per TitanInsider.com.
There may be a chance Locker could get clearance this week for Sunday's game in Miami, but the more prudent move might be to go ahead and give him another week off this week, which would actually be two weeks off since the Titans have their bye on Nov. 18. That would put Locker back in the lineup on Nov. 25 at Jacksonville.
With the Titans reeing in the wake of a 51-20 loss to the Bears, any boost they could get from Locker over the final stretch of the season couldn't hurt as they try to salvage something from a 3-6 season.
