None of these moves are incredibly surprising, but there was still some talent in this group. Kieran Duncan is a speedy receiver who, if he doesn’t get picked up by another team, may be added to the practice squad. Keith Browner had a solid preseason, so he could be a player other teams look out for.
The biggest name outside of Darrel Young, though, is Senorise Perry. He wasn’t necessarily expected to make the team, but he had been with the Chicago Bears since 2014.

The Bears have cut offensive tackle John Kling, according to Kevin Fishbain. Known by the nickname “Kling Kong” due to his 6’7″, 305-pound frame, Kling was an undrafted signee out of the University of Buffalo. He may be a name to watch out for as a potential practice squad addition.

The Chicago Bears have kicked off the first wave of their roster cuts by releasing veteran fullback Darrel Young. This is a somewhat surprising move, given that Young is more proven than the Bears’ other fullback, Paul Lasike. They may also be abandoning the use of the fullback all together.
#Bears gave 2 snaps to Darrel Young & 2 to Paul Lasike vs. #Chiefs which might lead you to wonder if this fullback thing will happen or not.

It will be interesting to see what they plan on doing with that position.
The team is also waiving offensive lineman Martin Wallace. He has only played one game in three years in the NFL.
