LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) D'Andre Williams had 15 points and five assists as Arkansas-Little Rock defeated Denver 64-57 Saturday night to take over sole possession of first place in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference.
The Trojans started slow, going scoreless for the first 5:28 of the game before pulling away for a 29-24 halftime lead. After Denver got within 33-32 with 16:36 to play, Little Rock used a 13-4 run to build a double-digit lead and held on from there.
Little Rock, which swept the season series with Denver, committed just eight turnovers compared to 17 for the Pioneers.
