The SportsXchange

The Detroit Lions' early free agent explorations will include visits by safety Glover Quin and running back Reggie Bush.

Quin, formerly of the Houston Texans, could fill the hole left by free agent Louis Delmas. Quin's agent told the Houston Chronicle that the defensive back was headed to Detroit to meet with Lions officials.

Bush, formerly of the Miami Dolphins, was set to visit the Lions' Allen Park, Mich., facility, according to multiple media reports. Bush also reportedly received interest from the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals.

Quin, 27, started every game the past three seasons for Houston. In 2012, he finished with 84 tackles, 14 passes defensed, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Bush, 28, ran the ball 227 times for 986 yards and six touchdowns last year. He also had 35 receptions for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He spent his first five pro seasons with the New Orleans Saints before playing the past two years with Miami.

The Lions' rushing offense ranked 23rd in the league last year. Mikel Leshoure (215 carries, 798 yards, nine touchdowns) and Joique Bell (82, 415, three) were the team's leading rushers.
