Lillard and Aldridge combine for 75, Trail Blazers defeat Spurs

Damian Lillard finished with 43 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs, 129-119. This is the fourth win in a row for Portland (21-6).

Lillard finished 16-29 from the field (4-9 on 3-point attempts) in an efficient offensive performance. Other top performers for Portland were LaMarcus Aldridge with 32 points and 16 rebounds, Wesley Matthews with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Dorell Wright with 12 points and eight rebounds. Tim Duncan had another quality performance for San Antonio despite the loss, putting up 32 points on 12-24 shooting from the field and 8-9 from the free throw line. Danny Green contributed 27 points and 10 rebounds, Tiago Splitter finished with 14 points and six rebounds, and Cory Joseph put up 10 points and eight rebounds.

San Antonio (17-10) has now dropped their last three consecutive games.

Coming up next, the Trail Blazers battle the New Orleans Pelicans, who are 13-12 on the year. The Spurs meet the Dallas Mavericks, currently 19-8 this season. The Trail Blazers have a 1-0 record against New Orleans this season. The Spurs are 1-0 versus Dallas this season.
