Lightning send Lee to Syracuse

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Brian Lee has been assigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced Tuesday.
Lee, 26, has appeared in 22 games for the Lightning this season, recording 16 penalty minutes. He ranks fifth on the club in hits with 49 and sixth with 28 blocked shots.
He was originally acquired by Tampa Bay from the Ottawa Senators on Feb. 26 2012 for Matt Gilroy.
