Leslie Frazier gets contract extension

National Football Post

After leading the Minnesota Vikings to the postseason in his second year, Leslie Frazier has been rewarded with a new contract.

The coach received a multi-year extension today, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, securing his future leading the franchise.

Frazier was preparing for the final year of his contract so the extension was expected. The timing is right for everyone. Now, the Vikings have it behind them before they head to Indianapolis next week for the NFL Scouting Combine. Everyone’s attention can be focused on scouting and roster moves that need to be made.

The Vikings were 3-13 in 2011 under Frazier in his first full season. They finished 10-6 last season.
