Lehigh avenged an earlier loss to Colgate when it counted most with a 71-64 victory Wednesday in the Patriot League tournament quarterfinals at Lehigh's Stabler Arena. Lehigh, which improved to 21-8, advance to the semifinals for the fourth straight year. The Mountain Hawks will take on league rival Lafayette, an easy 77-54 winner over Holy Cross, on Saturday. Colgate's season ended at 11-21. Bucknell, the Patriot League No. 1 seed, will play Army in the other semifinal. The victory marked the first time this season that Lehigh had come back to win after trailing at halftime. Gabe Knudson led the Mountain Hawks with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting, and B.J. Bailey scored 16 points. Murphy Burnatowski led the Raiders with a game-high 23 points on 11-of-22 shooting, but he was just 1 for 8 from beyond the arc. The Mountain Hawks battled from a nine-point deficit in the second half as Knudson scored 15 points. Lehigh had lost to Colgate 64-60 three weeks ago at Colgate's Cotterell Court.
