Lehigh (17-5, 7-1 Patriot League) won for only the third time at Holy Cross in the past 20 games and for the first time there since January 2010. Holy Cross (10-13 and 2-6) lost its fifth game in a row.
Mountain Hawks coach Brett Reed posted his 111th career victory, putting him within one victory of tying Tony Packer's school record.
Mackey McKnight led Lehigh with a game-high 22 points. Gabe Knutson had 14 points, Holden Greiner 13, and B.J. Bailey 10.
Dave Dudzinski scored 13 to lead Holy Cross, and Malcolm Miller had 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Mountain Hawks made nine of their first 11 shots, and they went into halftime leading 33-27. Holy Cross led in the early minutes before a Greiner jumper gave Lehigh its first lead, 9-8, with 15:10 left in the half.
The Crusaders, who shot 11-for-28 in first half, hit eight of their first 14 shots to begin the second half and momentarily lead 45-42 with 10:32 left in the game. The Mountain Hawks responded with an 11-4 run to surge in front.
